Atalasoft Releases Version 1.4 of the Vizit SP SharePoint Document Viewer

Our primary goals for this release were to improve Vizit SP's overall performance and add a feature that did not make it in the initial release: annotation styling & formatting.  I am happy to say that we hit both of those goals and quite a bit more.

SharePoint Document Viewer Performance

On the performance side we have optimized how Vizit SP interacts with SharePoint for accessing documents and have significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to open the Vizit SP document viewer. We have taken a process that was fast and made it faster. Additionally, we have added paging support to the document viewer's explorer pane to optimize how large document libraries and lists are loaded into the browser.

Annotation Formatting

We added styling and formatting for annotations. The document viewer now has the ability to change the fill color, style the outline and set the transparency of any annotation. Text annotations give you the flexibility to change the font, style and color. These new features are available in the document viewer on the right-click menu of any annotation.

We also spent a lot of time listening to our customers and evaluators regarding which features and functions were needed to make Vizit SP better. All in all, Vizit SP 1.4 has total of 142 new features and fixes that make it an excellent document viewing experience in SharePoint.
